Sorry mate, it looks really svelte so I just assumed that it was a Spitfire.

Is yours a medium? Mines a large and I can't really work out where the extra weight is compared to others.

Given all the Banshee love going on in this thread I though it only fair that I show mine off too.

Large Banshee Spitfire with Pikes and CCDB CS. Just finished tweaking it in slack setting for a trip to Stiniog on Saturday. Hope the forecast snow doesn't spoil the fun 😐

My Spitfire's a large and comes in at about 31lbs. Mind you that does include pedals (and a bashring)!

Mr Monster, if you see a stealth black Spitfire at BPW this Saturday then I'm probably the rider. Looking forward to it.

MindMap - Yeah a medium, as for the weight saving....a mix of rediculously expensive and over-spec'ed kit that I in no way need...but thought fu€# it - I want it! 🙂

Chief - Sounds good 🙂

That'd explain a bit of the weight difference then. I'm not too fussed because it doesn't feel like a heavy bike to ride and it climbs bloody well for a big bike. I knew it'd descend well having demo'd one but I'm really impressed by its climbing ability (just because I though it'd be so bad).

I'm off to BPW in a week. Can't wait.

Does my Orange 5 count? It's mid-travel with 650b wheels but I wouldn't call it "newfangled" 🙂

Some very nice bikes out there.

Couldn't resist. It's gradually turning into a Spicy, just saving for a CCDB 160 and we're there.

Here is my keeper. After test riding one a couple of weeks back I couldn't resist.

Stealth build (boring black) coming along nicely, just gear cables to fit and sort tomorrow then it's finished.

Very happy with it.

just about 29lbs, could lose 1.5lbs switching from 36's to pikes, but I think I'll stay burly till after the Trans-savoie 😀

What are you on about? You need to go 1x11, lose the FD, Reverb lever upside down on non-drive side, gain the downtube routing for a Reverb Stealth, neat hole under the rocker link for the hose.

It'd look way better, pound or so lighter, easier to clean, better lever position.

Get on with it 🙂

Upside down reverb lever really does make sense, they're a bit fragile and very expensive to fix so getting them out of the way is a good idea...

1 x 11 done, look closer 🙂

Northwind, you are not wrong, i will do when i destroy this one but it seems to be indestructable. It has taken a right battering with my clumsy riding and just wont die 🙂

Another Hemlock, decided that its better with 120mm rear rather than the 150mm

I can never decide. Mine is still 150, might flip it back to 120 when I rebuild it onto the new front triangle. I think I like how it rides more at 120, but it actually rides better at 150 🙄

It#'s being dragged kicking and screaming into 2014 with new Pikes, carbon rims and a Murdered Out Colourway 😉

I think that perhaps the stock Fox Float is tuned for the 120 so I will have to either stick some spacers inside the air can for the 150 or go for a coil shock tuned for the 150.

Next on the upgrade list for mine is RS Lyrik MiCo & rebound damper, as I stuck some cheap 1.5 steerer two step air Lyriks on that I changed to coil u-turn instead.

Have to say Saint's on Hope rotors make for some eyeball popping braking.

Update (dropped into low/slack mode and Magic Mary up front):

Just incredible, can't see how it could be better.

(It's a Banshee Spitfire with the 2014 stealth black finish - gloss black decals on anodised matt black frame).

I think she qualifies being an evo decends well (needs the 2014 dampener in the forks thou) and weighing a slender 26lb climbs aswell.

only a vanity colour change for the stickers on the white brothers fork to go now.
Edit: and shorten tge front hose by the looks of it - strange how you notice stuff in a photo but not in real life.
