I've since sorted the chain length and removed the chain stay protector, good fun bike:

My old Trailstar. Cracked at head tube. It's for sale for really cheap if anyone is interested, still works fine as a cheap hack frame but since I wanted to use it for jumping, re-welding and running rigids probably isn't a good idea.

Newer Trailstar LT. Does a bit of everything. I've since put a granny ring back on as 1x9 is crap for steep climbs. XC mode:

Oh and I'll probably get a Thomson next time a 26.8 400mm long one comes up for cheap. This ones bent a bit so I think its about time I got something that can stand being up that high with a fat bastard on the bike!

Sold as it just didn't fit me. Fine going down hill but even along the flat I ended up with knee pain.
