Hi all
I've got a few ideas for my next bike.
Just wanted to see some custom paint.
Here's my old bike.
It's a front to back fade between light orange and dark orange (hard to see in the photo) with 'prismatique' glass sparklies.
I'm thinking of doing the next one myself, so I'm looking for inspiration.
Cheers
Alex
Oh noes! Black/silver component mismatch FAIL! ๐
No, there's no black. The last gen XTR cranks and rear mech don't really look that dark in the flesh.
Silver & grey?
Pink and Green just like Robin Hood! No wait that was Lincoln Green, sorry.
Surely the bars are black ?
Nice paint job tho ๐
I really like it.

Black and silver mixed can look very good. I think that's a good example actually. Polished silver bars are a bit of a rarity too. And polished silver rims.
Tis a shame there are no more custom bikes here ๐
There were a couple of pics of an artist-painted Trance on here the other day.
I'm sure there are loads knocking around.
FWIW my custom steel steed is now metallic orange.
That chap with the Maverick ML-7 who had had it painted with a goldfish-heavy underwater scene with waterweed and bubbles was pretty cool in a "gosh You actually got that done specially. Wow" sort of way. ๐
The goldfish maverick is idaves.
Those flames are pretty subtle. Nice though.
The only reason to get rid of either of my two current bikes is if I really can't squeeze another bike in the shed. I know they'll outdate, but I'd still rather hang on to them. I'm still really pleased with both builds.

Custom everything.
Gold lacquer 'paintjob', custom geometry, custom parts. Carbon, weighs about 15.2lb with those wheels so just inside UCI weight limit. It'll go a lot less with carbon bars and Zipp wheels!
Ohmychrist. Is that yours Gator?
I love the paint job on the spot

gator...
Mmm it looks GHASTLEY !!! spoils the looks of a S*ITTING DOG LIKE.... ๐ฅ
SORRY... ๐ฅ
erm, I like Gator's bike, I think it looks much better than the stock and anything that disturbs the pooing dog appearance can only be a result!
and what's this Ayatollahofniche, gears?!?
skidsareforkids. Custom painted sus forks make a lot of difference to the overall look. I might have to look into that too.
Is there anything unusual to consider when doing forks? If magnesium lowers, do they cause problems?
