What's with all the bottle cages!!

Most of us are not so limited in our thinking as to restrict our CX bikes to CX racing only. CX bikes are fantastic for loads of the type of riding that we have locally all over the UK, much more so than mtb trails which typically are far more limited.

Still not finished but should be today - v-brakes to go on, chain and some final plumbing of cables. Quite excited to see how it rides...

They're some I bought from a chap called Paul off of here. Hope pro 2's on some unknown carbon tub rim - seem quite light so we'll see how strong they are.

More pics to follow, its a poverty build at the moment until the Di2 ultegra turns up for my Storck and I can move the bits from that onto this.

That Yeti is rather good looking and I'd like to see more of those Ti twins as I'm sure most of us would ๐Ÿ˜‰

Unfortunately I've been lapped on numerous occasions by one (or both) of those Ti twins. So personally I've seen more than enough of them! ๐Ÿ™

some nice bikes on here ๐Ÿ™‚ here's mine, just built up and had one lap of hamsterley red and a 75 mile road ride from newcastle to penrith on it. so far it's been spot on, much comfier than my old road bike and a hell of a lot lighter although not as comfy/smooth a ride than my cross check

You know much of the history/age of the bike? Trying to pin an age on it but struggling. Got a 1" headtube so thinking quite old?

Tried to get some of the 2010 stickers but they didn't have any so went retro. Think they were also reluctant to give me stickers for a bike I didn't own in case I was trying to fake a more expensive bike.

Not much, saw this one at Condor in the beginning of 2010 but I think it was a 2008 bike:

How long is a piece of string? Depends upon type of rim, how much use, what brakepads used, how clumsy rider is etc etc.. Mine are 2 seasons old and still as new really (Hope RS3 5.0)

RedTed

Its a 56* - deffo a large. I'm 6ft1 with a 34 inside leg and it fits me perfectly.

*I think - could be a 58

3rd season on my 404's now, second on the FSA RD44's.

404s look fine, bit of grit in the bearings now. FSA's bearings are a bit naff..but they are fine otherwise.

All about how you ride I reckon. 77kg race weight, tend to be light on wheels, think I've ever only broken 1 rim and thrown a few spokes

That's good. come to think of it I do tend to race and train om one set and a training ride will be three times longer than a race. So I'm probably getting four seasons worth in one go?
