A lot more useful than moaning on the sticker thread I reckon ๐Ÿ˜‰ . I know there's already one back in the annals of history but didn't want to resurrect that as it was in a similar vein to . . . well, you know . . .

Only one I have at the mo' as my lovely dandy horse one got lost when fotopic went down ๐Ÿ™

All of them.

Too linear, plus you've explained yourself. More work needed.

Meh.

I haven't got any stickers because I always thought it was an obvious promotional tool and the actual slogans make me cringe in a 'You're actually a grown up, so why are you acting like a teenager' kind of way.

If every bike shop owner came on doing the whole 'Buy from me' thing, the forum would be an appreciably poorer place...

On one level, I have to agree with Crikey. The stickers themselves are childish and silly.

I will however defend the right to proffer such childishness free on a public forum.

I think that riding bicycles is a perfectly reasonable pastime for adults.

I think stickers of the kind shown above have rather more in common with a teenage sensibility.

Your mileage, as they say, may vary.

Crikey - I suggest then that you leave STW and find a forum for serious grown up adult types. Ctbm's stickers are a bit of light-hearted fun from someone who can see enjoyment in life rather than being anal. I have 2 - 1 from a ride a couple of years ago when he brought some along, and 1 from a couple of weeks ago when I called in to his shop to say hello. I'm not a customer though and feel under no pressure to become one; likewise the majority of stw dwellers use gears and would find his services superfluous - sticker 1 (this machine kills fascists) adorns my microwave, although (lube me and abuse me) is on my DMR.

So to summarise - Free the SSwanage 1 (see what I did there?)

yes because your a cyclist, but the rest of the adult population thinks differently.

fwiw, i wouldn't put the stickers on my bike, but ctbm gives them away for free so can't see who he's hurting.

Sorry, it's all a bit 'wacky student' humour for me...

Aww, thanks.

Crikey! I agree with you. It's not that so much that their childish or silly... just that they're a bit naff. They do about as much for me as mint sauce cartoons... absolutely nothing.

I think that is the important point; CTBM came on here and asked for suggestions.... The results are pretty clear.

TSY I'm sorry, it was nice knowing you but you have unfortunately just been selected for certain and painful death due to having no sense of humor and dissing my favorite sheep...(apart from the little cutey with it's head stuck in a fence down the road who's going to get a struggle snuggle later)

Thank you for quoting it Elf.. and for being a little bit offensive. All in a days work for you though, eh?

It's a forum... upon which we are all free to contribute and comment as long as we play by the rules and are not offensive to each other. Run along now...

Tazzy... does this mean I shouldn't bother doing my ironing this evening?

No, because you are like the general unthinking public - "I don't see the fun in it, so I don't see why anyone else should enjoy it, so they shouldn't."
