Hello, just looking for ideas for a home respray. No decent powder coaters nearby. Did it myself years ago but used the wrong primer and it was never very good so going to re-do it. Any advice and any pics of ones which tured out right much appreciated.
There was someone on here who had an old road bike he had painted green with a tin and a brush. Sounds like a receipe for disater but actually looked really good. Can't find the thread though...
I've done a couple with bog standard Halfords or Plasticote rattle cans - very time consuming and not cheap when you factor in primer, 2-3 cans of main coat and lacquer . . . oh and the longer you can wait before use the more durable the paint finish.
