hadnt owned a hardtail since I had a BMX more than a few years ago.
Second hand on-one 456 reminded me how good they are! ๐Ÿ˜€

Blimey, being a mountain bike forum, you would think folk would know the difference between a HARDTAIL and a RIGID bike eh?
(Just saying, like)

A rigid bike is a type of hardtail.
If rigid forks get put on an Orange 5, it does not become a rigid bike.

Didn't Proflex try this back in the early nineties?

Also klein, the mantra was designed to be fitted with a rigid fork but they didn't think anyone would buy it like that.

It's a Continental Diesel 2.5" on a Try-All rim, though these don't seem to be available anymore.
Sheephills.....is that a reference to the 90's mecca for all things 20"?

Yes, sheephills is the place, went there 3times before kids etc. Cool to ride a place and with riders you have seen on vhs ๐Ÿ™‚

Sound cool your front wheel, ads a bit of fat bike effect to a rigid bike, i will try that as i still am on 26"ers..

It was somewhere I always wanted to go! Looked VERY dusty though!!
The semi-fat works nicely, especially in the snow, beach, mud etc.
