After 5 yrs of riding the bushes have gone on my RP2 - quick google turned some up and I ordered some with a press to push out the old/push in the new. The new ones are DU but they have a split in them, is this the norm? Also, should I have bought DP instead of DU? Is there realistically much difference?

Yes DU and DP are split.
Polymer bushings are not!
