Firstly, 'ello to everybody in here.
Quick question about buying a new bike. Does anybody know when 2012 bike models start being distributed for sale and the 2011's starting dropping in price? Looking to buy a particular 2011 bike in early September but obviously don't want to buy it and find it drops in price weeks later!

Depends on the brand. Lots of mainstream 2012 bikes already in the shops with many popular 2011 models/sizes sold through. What is it that you're after?
2012 bikes - some are already available. Some models won't appear until 2012. Depends on the manufacturer and even then there are variances as certain models will be available sooner.
As for getting a 2011 bike cheaper - again it depends. Many models are already sold out or are in short supply. Unless the distributor is willing to tell you how many are already in the channel, it'll be a gamble.

Is it changing in 2012? Prices likely to be higher and if bike hasn't changed you may find a 2011 gets re priced. I've just ordered a orbea aqua ex display model cheap, another shop quoted me 2012 price as the model change is this week so any new order treated as new year. Do genesis usually get over stocked and discounted as many dont.
anyone know when the new santa Cruz's will be out?
