As summer is nearly here(!), I may treat myself to some new shorts.
Probably baggies, but I'm half on the verge of going back to lycra...
I prostrate myself before the STW collective wisdom.
Endura Singletracks with some bib shorts underneath 🙂
I have some Fox Frequency shorts. They have a great liner that is non-removable but very comfy. They don't bunch or snag but look good for post ride chips and beer. Lots of vents for summer Spain trips, quick to dry and did I say very comfy? I use them regularly in winter with some 661 knee pads and keep warm too.
Of the various baggies I have the Specialized Enduro ones are my favourite (fit, comfort and function). Endura are a close second.
I find with baggies over bib shorts that the baggies slip right down and I'm forever pulling them back up so prefer just to wear the liner they come with, I guess some baggies might have silicon grippers on the waist.
Sugoi Gustov are my favourites
Sombrio Pinner - great fit, comfy, quite long in the leg & have belts loops
My current favorites are Endura Singletracks too.
Singletracks over bibs is the true way forward 🙂
Hummvee's over bibs for me :-]
I've heard a lot of people rate the Sugoi Gustos but where on earth do you get them from? I have a lycra Sugoi short that is excellent which turned up in the sale basket at my LBS but they couldn't remember how they got there and weren't ordering anything else so suggestions please
Russtler has Sugoi baggies... http://www.russtler.com/
just buy the lycra you know you want to, i like the specialized range, in team colours so you get seen on the road
"Endura Singletracks with some bib shorts underneath"
Correct.
Next?
Sugoi stuff is available from Cycle Surgery. The Gustav shorts are great, but rather expensive.
I've just got some of these http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=18013 nice n cheap and very similar to the Sugois.
Singletracks here too, but use their 8 panel click-in liner.
Endura Hummvees, about perfect.
