I'm curious to see what difference the stem length makes and thought it would probably be cheap to get a stem now the fashion has moved to oversize bars but it seems they don't exist! Is this true?
I currently have a 90mm stem and would like to try 60 - 70 mm. Seen one anywhere?
Eh? Thomson Elite, loads of stuff on CRC... Easton, Race Face etc
Just get some shims from CRC for £2, work fine and weigh nothing
Loads of dirt jumpers don't use oversized bars so loads of normal short stems about.
On One do/did some too, the 456 stem for a start
WTF are you on about? all my bars are standard and my stems range from 40mm-55mm. don't use shims!
sorry forgot to say - 'at a sensible price'.
On One is a good call, thanks
There's that DMR Conrod thing, heavy but cheap
plenty come up on the bay
Raceface & Bonty do them, as I've got both.
Try Clee Cycles for KCNC i've got a 70mm 25.4 cost me about £20 and it's as good as anything else i've used.
Lots of jumpers use 22.#mm BMX size stems/bars, not 25.4mm
Hi,I've got a 55mm 10 degree zoom you can have for £5 posted.
Ian
raceface ride xc about £21 and you can get 60mm in standard
thanks guys.
Dingo, i've managed to borrow one to try but I'll get back to you if I like it!
