Does anyone own an Anthem and has put a shorter stem on it? I have a Medium Anthem X4, I'm 5'8 with an average arm reach. Just wondering what stem to get for my Anthem. Cheers Guys.

Buy one or two cheap second hand stems, and try both. Once you've settled on a 'good' length, splash some cash...

Well it's fairly obvious.... don't decide until you've actually ridden with them...

I'm 5'8 and run a 70mm stem with 740mm bars on my anthem.

yes agree, spoken to a few and 70mm sounds like a winner. Obviously downhill is where it comes into it's own but have you found it loses stability on the steeper climbs?

70mm is considered a short stem?

It depends on how big your bike is for you. I have recently gone the hole hog and got the longest frame I can find that still fits me and bunged a 35mm reach stem on it, and its great. If you like a super stable bike. Depends what you are after I guess, and how long your frame is relative to you. Try lots of things and then you can settle on what works best for you.

Well, maybe not short, but shorter than 100mm.

Bike size is medium 18 inch frame, fits fine, just playing with some mods.

swapped out my stock 110 for a 90, it's a bit lighter at the front but not badly
