Can any of you good people recommend a pair of mtb shorts that come up a little shorter?

I'm a bit of a finicky old bugger and find the standard 'baggies' too long, the flapping around down near the knee gets a little on my tits. I tried some Hummvee's and the length was a bit irritating round the old pines. I don't like anthing touching my knees, not even my wife.

I've been wearing a liner with some old Carhartt shorts for years but sadly they are now borderline obscene.

Just looking for anything that hangs above the knee when standing and doesn't cost a small fortune ie. Folsom shorts..

Cheers and Thanks!

Can't say I have ever had a problem. Is it the shorts or your legs that are the issue?

Cheers fellas, Im liking the Alan's, there's something strangely alluring about them…

Nipper I'm a 34" in Endura, much appreciate the offer.

Sounds like Singletracks are worth punt.

Singleyracks are short. I've got a pair i don't wear for that reason. Think they are 34. Drop me an email if interested.

If I were you I'd ignore MTB specific shorts altogether and go for some hiking shorts of some sort. Decathlon do some lovely men's walking/hiking shorts that are a few inches above the knee and made of a nice light fabric with a bit of stretch. I wear them on our cycle touring holidays and they're perfect.

I only clicked on this thread to post a pic of Alan Partridge. As Binners beat me to it, I have nothing else to add.

An old bloke did 10UTB this year in short silver lycra shorts. Kylie would have considered them too short. I believe he was serious but was too scared to go and ask.

I'd recommend giving the Endura Singletracks a go as well. I got a pair on CRC without trying them anywhere and wear them because I own them, but they are annoyingly short.
