[Closed] Shortening XT disc brake pipes - any pointers?

Hi,
I need to shorten a pair of XT disc brakes pipes as they are too long for my frame. Any pointers / things I need to look out for / not touch etc?
I know I need mineral oil, and I'll have a go at bleeding the manual way, rather than using the Hope easy bleed setup.
