I've done it successfully with Shimanos but seeing that I need to change the complete banjo fitting (I have the kit) I assume there will be air trapped after the operation. Or not?

why change the banjo? is the lever and hose already on the bars/in the frame?
also hoping that this works for R1x

I did when shortening on my old K18s, but maybe I was unlucky.

It seems the hose connection to the factory mounted banjo is pressed on (not threaded). I don´t know if it¨'s the same for the R1.
Solved it by leaving to LBS 🙂
