Does anyone do entry level FS as frame only? Would like to use all the bits from the HT as I don't really have space/money for another bike.

Is second hand a better option? Have had a look on ebay etc but don't really know what things are worth!

Thanks for any help.

I'll have an original Specialized SX one day, I had one but it was stolen the night before its maiden ride was due. At the moment Dartmoor might be worth your looking.

Less than £400 and 100mm, are either of those a problem do you think?

Keep an eye on the classifieds. I picked up a hardly used 08 Scalpel for just over £300

Real bargains do come up on the classifieds every now and again.
I was selling an as new turner burner for that sort of money a while back and that was a £1500 frame new, keep an eye out and you may get lucky, patience is the key. Or buy a well used frame for peanuts, either way bargains can be had.
Cheers.
