[Closed] Short term (2 months 'ish) cycle insurance

Hello all and merry festive period,

I've just finished the build of my new steed, a Pace RC405, and wish to get it insured for a couple of months until my home insurance is due for renewal, at which point I'm going to change to everybody's favorite M&S policy.
I've just had a look around at various cycle specific policies on the net and they seem very expensive for what you get, especially as it appears I'll also have to purchase a hideously expensive lock to not fall foul of the many and varied get out clauses they all seem to have. Can anybody recommend a good value monthly insurance that doesn't require you to hire 24hr armed security, or am I just better off canceling my current contents insurance and starting a new M&S policy now?
