Could someone link me to some route files for short loops from the Edale area? GPX or anything Garmin compatible.

Currently on holiday there and have some routes downloaded, but I'm feeling a bit battered after Jacob's Ladder today and I don't think I'm up for another long ride tomorrow.

How short is short?
Have you got the VP Dark Peak guidebook?
Worth dropping into 18 Bikes in Hope to see if they've got any suggestions?

How short? For a quick one out of edale id go out to barber booth, up chapel gate, up rushup, across and up to mam tor, hollins cross then drop back down into edale down whichever descent to the left takes your fancy.

That's a good shout  for starters. OP - it's one of those places that really lends itself to getting a copy of OL1 and exploring.

Alternative might be up to Hope cross and explore around there. Maybe down to Aston and back up to Hope and then down potato alley or the beast.

Not sure if you're in hope or edale. If edale head to hope cross via jaggers clough then spud alley or beast. Then cross the a57 and climb to lockerbrook for a nice long and fast descent towards ladybower. If you've got another climb in you then up the slabs to Derwent edge for another great descent towards cutthroat bridge. Take the route towards ladybower inn and then behind it before emerging back at the a57. Turn left then right over the bridge towards bamford. Then over the dam and return via thornhill trail.

3 nice climbs and great descents. 😀

I'm riding up there on Thursday if you want some company. Would be setting off between 10.30-11
