[#6664198]

The other day someone suggested I had a short attention span it's not the first time its been mentioned but this time I actually googled it... first mistake.

Then I found a "test" so i took that... second mistake.

Now, I am not an idiot I know full well an online test is not a diagnosis and it said I really do have a short attention span but ignoring the result for now, every single question rang a chord with respect to difficulty following conversations and skipping lumps of text and missing typos etc.

I did okay at school but that I think was essentially natural ability rather as i found school fairly pointless and boring. I also have a failed degree in mathematics and lots of bits and pieces of courses etc.

Family wise my sister was diagnosed with dyslexia about half way through uni so it might be that although generally I have no real problems reading or spelling which is what she struggled with.

I am totally open to the fact I might just be lazy and bone idle and I'm certainly not looking for a label to hide behind but it would be nice to be able to focus on things once in a while!

Who does one discuss this type of thing with?

All annecdotes and piss taking welcome.

My sister can't watch films - they take too long!

I've been known to watch a film and read at the same time.
