Seems like this would be a useful thing to have a share in rather than to own. There are people renting them for £40 a week on eBay but buying one as a group then selling it on eBay when we're done with it would be as cheaper/more flexible.

Anyone interested?

We did one for our local riders group.

I think posting it securely between users each time it's used would add cost and complexity that might make it not work?

Is there a local Facebook group you could suggest it on?

maybe. It looks small enough (and likely to be tough enough) that it could go in a package <25mm thick when means it qualifies as a 'large letter' and can just go in a postbox. i don't send things 'securely' very often.

A lot of trust involved obviously.

Do you want to rent yours out at some point - most of the eBay places are only letting it go for a week - i reckon it would be more practical to have it a little longer

Interesting idea but I think it would work better with a local riding group just because of the logistics of it. Realistically you'd need to send it on special delivery/insured etc each time which is going to add up. That's even without the trust aspect between people who've potentially never met IRL.
