Guys,

Got to put a mates shock back in his stumpy comp but apparently he has spacers which need to go in correctly. Which way is correct?

Also, what torque for the bolts?

I'd guess that it's got the ball jointed arrangement to stop rear end flex wearing out the shock, so the spacers need to create a ball and socket either side of the shock (think v-brake pads or avid caliper spacer set-up). If it's anything like the ones on the Enduro, they'll be an interference fit into their housing, and will keep trying to force themslves out of alignment as you try to fit them. A dummy shaft slightly narrower than the entire assembly will hold it all together as you fit it into it's housing, and can be drifted through with the mounting bolt once in place.
