Hi,
I'm looking for a nut to match the bolt which attaches the uppermost end of the shock to the frame of a 2009 Trek Top Fuel 8. I've asked in a couple of bike shops but no success. Can anyone tell me where I might be able to get hold of one please?
Thanks

It's probably a standard size, take the bolt into Halfords or B&Q and see what matches.

Any Trek dealer should be able to order one in, by coincidence we've just received one for a customer yesterday. Alternatively, and much cheaper, file the flats back on a standard M8(I think)to fit the slot, i've done it in the past, and it works perfectly.

Any Trek dealer should be able to [s]order one in[/s] charge you an extortionate amount for a simple nut that you could pick up from a hardware store.

@kayak23 - that you would then have to spend your time filing to be the best fit you can make it.
