New ti Burgtec hardware fitted on a db inline on my Stage Evo , only two rides in and already a almighty creak and lateral play on rear eyelet . Hula hoop ( du bush can be seen either side when shock is moved laterally with my hand , any experience with this hardware? should I replace the du with a metal one

Out of spec or frame bearing play shortened it's life drastically maybe?

if the bush is floating around inside the eyelet then generally it means that the eyelet has been ovalised. Shove in another bush and hope for the best, measure the eyelet first if you have a suitable tool for the job

As above.
Sounds like the eyelet is worn/oversized.
Measure it and If it's not hugely oversized try some bearing fit and a new bush to see if that stays put.

Brand new shock

Measure it.
If it's oversized send it back.

Contact CC or their importer and see what they have to say?

Might just be a quick warranty replacement.

It’s not an older Cane Creek shock that takes a larger bushing is it?

I appreciate you say new shock but thinking new old stock maybe?

Good shout, but new Inlines should be standard and come with the bushing already fitted anyway (I got one myself a few weeks ago - had no issues).

Might be worth trying with alternative hardware but it sounds like the slack is between the eyelet and bushing if I've read the OP right?

Is the bushing loose in the eyelet?

By bushing, I mean what I think you called the "hula hoop" (I'm sure you know that but just to avoid confusion).

on moving the shock the bushing becomes visible , so the eyelet is moving over the bushing and visa versa , thanks for your input on this thread , thumbs up
