Pedals are of interest.. should be fully rebuildable with decent aftersales care.

those pedals look nice and big and with big inner bearings.

Hopefully the cranks will mean there are lots of cheap XT cranks hitting the classifieds ๐Ÿ˜€

Are you on some sort of one man mission? - you tend to crop up on every Hope related thread saying they're crap or don't buy them etc. etc.

You may want to let it go and move on fella before it chews you up

But he's right. Hope stuff, generally, isn't that good.

Duffs I think. Sorry, you did mean the trainers didn't you?

Otherwise, its a cable pull-to-hydraulic pressure so you can [s]have the unreliability of both cable and hydraulics[/s] use your roadie sti's with hope calipers. Really they should have a crack at doing a rival to the excellent bb7 road brake, surely they have the tooling etc to do it all in house?

I like Hope stuff but have been waiting for those bashguards for ages. Seem to take quite a while to bring stuff to market after it's announced, but hey ho.

I like their stuff and haven't had significant issues with any of it. Other's experiences may vary. Rarely hear a bad story about their aftersales.

As a company I like what they do. I know of a number of projects they've supported and they are very generous with us (SingletrAction). I'm sure they aren't perfect but then (especially on the internet which as we all know is the source of exact fact and total impartiality) who is. I bet they're a fair bit better than most others though.

As above is a hydraulic disc barke to cable STI converter for CX bikes

edit: too late

I wonder if they will come out eventually with a full hydraulic brake STI?

Why dont they just make CX brakes hydro (I know nothiggn of these things). Are the CX gears like those stupid dual action things Shimano made ?

As in cardboard? They do have that look about them... I'd want silver anyway.

yes, those 'stupid' ones ๐Ÿ™„ meaning that it's a big job (and not really the market they're in) to make them from scratch.

The cranks look forged which hopefully is a plus as opposed to the CNC machined from billet stuff...we know what happens to CNC machined cranks

Houns, seems from a recent thread that huge stacks of spacers under one's stem are all the rage: about 50mm should do it ๐Ÿ˜€

Houns just fit the stem plate upside-down ๐Ÿ˜‰
