My Other half has a problem in that she keeps cutting her shins while out riding.

Not big hits like when a pedal spins and nearly takes your leg off, just small knocks and they always seem to bleed like crazy.

Does anyone know of some really lightweight shin protection, nothing heavy duty needed, just like a neoprene tube really that won't be restrictive or hot, but will stop the little cuts that are putting her off (can't "get her legs out" in summer as they are covered in scabs)

How about some football shin pads?

Neoprene ones are as hotter and more unpleasant than proper knee/shin combos.
IMHO

Something like the IXS assault is fairly light, don't be put off by the "Heavyweight" look of the plastic pads. They work and do the job and are not that heavy/hot

661 veggies. Very light, easy on/off. They feel like they should be too hot but I really don't find it an issue.

Lots of good feedback on the elbow and knee pads on the STW forum.

Thanks for the replies, wanted something really light and comfy without plastic protection etc. Just to stop the pedal studs cutting when manoeuvring etc. rather than impact protection.

So went for a couple of these.

Picked them up tonight and they are perfect for her. (brownie points earned !)
