Righto, i'm sure this is a very silly question but i'll ask anyway.....
Looking to go back to gripshift (i know) but dont want to blow all my cash on a complete 10spd drivetrain just yet, what i need to know is, can i run a 10spd sram rear mech 9 speed with a gripshift, i guess by adjusting the stop adjuster bolts? i do this on a shimano 10spd mech fine with their shifters so i supposed its the same?
I really fancy one of those new x9 type 2 clutch mechs running with the older 3x9 x0 twistshifters.
Thanks in advance
JB
No. Different pull ratios.
njee20.....mmmm, confused!
I get shimano and sram are different pull ratio's but i dont intend to mix components... i'd use x0 9 speed gripshift with a 10spd X9 rear mech, can do or no can do?
cheers

9/10 Shimano are different to each other, as are 9/10 speed SRAM.

Ah right, i understand now. Having said that i run a 10spd 5700 rear mech fine with 9 speed shimano sti's on my cross bike.....
Cheers
