I've been a Giro man for a while now but I fancy a change. Do they size up the same? (length or width or both)

[mtb shoes, not road]

I have shoes from both in the same sizes and the fit is very similar.

I'd say it depends.

I had some Giro Terraduro, and they were replaced with Shimano ME7. I think the ME7 are a bit wider, but length wise they're about the same.

@nickc

thanks. That's the very swap I'm considering. I've looked for new Terraduros but they're discontinued. I tried the Ventana instead but that has a different foot shape so didn't fit at all.

So now the ME7s are on the radar...

Shimano definitely a bit wider. Had to return Terraduros as they were a bit narrow, ME7 are perfect.
