Has anyone successfully ordered spare parts from Shimano or their agents? There are useful diagrams on thier website with part numbers for each and every little component of every piece of kit, but no way of ordering them as far as I can make out.
Any help or guidance gratefully received.
Thanks!
Find you nearest Shimano Service Centre LBS and order direct.... or try the Madison.co.uk website.
MisterP will be along in a moment to help, I'm sure......
Most parts on the Shimano Europe diagrams are available.
Any bike shop with a Madison account (just about everyone) can get them.
Take the part number you have, drop the first and last digits, and you should be left with a 7 digit part no with a space after the 3rd digit. That's the format Madison use for the part no. Give the part no to your LBS and they should be able to order the part post free for you.
Thats what Bike Shops are for 🙂
As above, dead easy. If you like, post a link to the diagram and the numbers of what you need then I will get a price and delivery time for you.
Thanks guys, very helpful. Perhaps I should have gone somwhere other than Evans!
The part no. I need at the moment is Y5XF10000 (link) an inner plate for a rear XT mech. Evans took £100 off me to replace the whole mech and (de)tune the gears. If I buy the plate, at least I will have a whole spare mech which I can use on another bike.

Nice one. How bad was that shell? On the face of it, it looked pretty bad but i suppose that's why i am not on the tools 🙂
