I'm looking for a new chainset and have been looking at the Shimano SLX kit.
Is the chainset and Hollowtech II bottom bracket reliable?
Is £99.99 a good price for these two?
Any opinions on SLX kit or any alternatives that I should consider would be great!

Got an SLX on my Trek and it runs really nice, looks good and seems strong.

You maybe able to get it cheaper from shopping from Europe etc
But for warranty it's easier to deal with local shops.
Merlin do it for £99 and get your LBS to price match it.

£99 is only just above cost price to dealers unless they buy bulk (even then it's not a lot more), you'd be lucky to get a price match from most LBS, but worth a try though.
