Just wonder about other peoples experience here. Are Shimano shoes small fitting or not??? I have read alot of reviews of different SPD shoes and most seem to say they are small fitting..... but then every now and a gain people say the are the perfect size. What have you found?

I find they come up a little short but are a bit wider than most so I go a size up and they are perfect.

Last time i bought Shimano they were very narrow in the toe box, so I sold them and got some Northwave which are a great fit.
Haven't bought any for about 4 years though.

They size up correctly for me. Try before you buy, failing that buy in multiple sizes from CRC and use Collect+

hmm, they are a smidge smaller, but not a full size IME.
(and next to the old Specialized I had the best made and most comfy pair of SPD shoes I have had)

They're really narrow. Definitely go for a size up

my first pair were shimano and they did ok but felt a bit tight in places
upgraded to a pair of specialized rockhopper comp shoe which were absolutely brilliant until they died...then i bought another pair of shimano and the same problems are back
they can be a tight fit especially if your feet are wide...so try before you buy

I recently bought the M162's and they are my normal size. I also ordered the next size up from CRC (collect plus is amazing) and if I lived in the UK and required to wear thick socks then maybe I would have chosen the bigger size. But as they are summer shoes my regular size was perfect.

depends what youre comparing them to; most euro shoes come up small and shimano are probably similar to equivalent euro shoes. I wear the same size in Shimano, Five Ten and Diadora (and now Carnac, but they are the smallest/narrowest of the lot). Five Ten are the widest, but Shimano AM40s (flat pedal) and MP66 (spd) are both pretty wide (possibly wider than their 'regular' spd shoes).

Not sure any of that helps ๐Ÿ˜€

I bought some Shimano RO87 road shoes in 42 as they were the same size as my Shimano MTB Shoes but had return them for the next size up.
