[#4476659]

I want to get some Shimano MTB shoes, but from comments you read/hear the sizing is a bit odd. I normally take a size 42, so with SHamon should I order 44's?

'a bit odd' sums it up, I have 3 pairs of Shimano shoes, 3 different sizes too.

They're all up on my normal size though, can't you order 43s and 44s and send one back

Yep I think I will be doing..

I have Shimano road shoes in a 42, which are fine, but I guess that is no guide then...

Same here, m182's are slightly too big in a 45, mw82's far too small in a 45. I'm a 10 in other brands. Crc is good for returns if you're local shop doesn't sell what you want (mine doesn't)

Go at least a size up. They're a really narrow fit

42/sz8 in most footwear, northface, Adidas, scarpa, hitec workboots ans shimano shoes, unless it's the winters then it's a 43.

I'm 42/8 in absolutely everything else, 43 in a shimano. My winter boots MW80? are also 43, however I've used my B-i-L's 44's and they were fine with seal skin socks. My winter boots in 43 are a bit snug with seal skin socks and the insole, I often use them without an insole, if I have seal skin socks on (winter) and with insole if using normal socks (this summer). So, you need to try both.

This is what I found in both my Shimano SPD shoes but not in my AM 41's which are wider and have allowed me to go a size lower than my MW 80's and still have more room for winter socks.

I'm a 44, but my SHimano shoes are 45. Fine width wise mind you

I normally take 46 street shoes or trainers but I need 48 in Shimano shoes to be comfortable

I've got a mix of 44's and 43's in Shimano (the winter boots are tightest even in 44). Size 9 / 43 in regular shoes.
