[#4029615]

Just got my first Shimano brakes today.
A set of Saints, now that they are on the bike i notice a tiny bit of movement between the 2 caliper body sides, and it looks like a little bit of oil in between the two halves.

The movement is tiny and without the oil which is pushed out a little and then sucked back in when releasing lever, i would never have noticed.

Is this normal on a new set of these?

the bolts holding them together feels tight, at least i think the handles on my cheapo torx key will snap before the bolts will move.
i am leaning towards returning them.

bought a full set as one of my avid codes levers have failed.
Ofcourse its the the one replacing the faulty code that have arrives faulty ๐Ÿ™

Have two sets of saints myself, plus about another half dozen sets on various friend's bikes - never seen anything like that.

I have a similar issue with a set of old Hayes 9 and they work but I know that they are shot. They need regular bleeding to keep them running. When I have the spare cash I will swap them out. I would not accept this from a new brake. The fact that you have had two with same issue I wonder if if it is a batch issue?

I have Saints and they are a great brake and no weeping from joints on mine.

i think its a batch issue as well.
Front on i received is fine.
Their customer service have ordered one for them to look at, not putting in a replacement order until they have checked one.
2 in a row with same fault seems a bit odd.
Would have been willing to pay more if i could go pick one up in a shop, but no brick and mortar near me that have them in stock ๐Ÿ™

Anyone know a shop that got Saint brakes in stock?
now looking at going to pick up a set if i can find them anywhere.
As they have just cocked up the second replacement order and holiday is getting close.
