I'm having a right quandary are these straight connectors or banjo connectors as the replacement hydraulic lines I've received from chain reaction have got banjo fitting attached but the ones i've taken off are straight.

If i can use the banjo fittings which hole do i use.

THX

The calipers that come with the Shimano road hydro levers (BR-RS785) do not use a banjo. You will need to cut off the hose at the banjo and fit it using the same method as you did at the levers (olive + insert).

It would seem there are different versions of the kit, some have an XT-like caliper which uses a banjo, the others have the straight connector:

If your caliper has the straight connector there's no point in buying the banjo hose.
