I finally bought some XT 1x11 cranks to replace my old slx triple, but want to check I haven’t made a mistake before I fit them
The XTs still have mounts for an inner chainring, like they’re a double
I know double cranks were never as good as triples when converting to 1x due to chain line, am I going to have the same problem?
The rest of the drivetrain is m8000, frame is non boost, and I’ve bought an Uber bike chainring for it
It currently shifts fine, I just fancied 165mm cranks, am I best off just sticking to what I’ve got?
All M8000 cranks have inner ring mounts - there isn’t a specific 1x version of it. The chainring should correct the chainline as long as you haven’t bought the Boost version of the cranks - these have a “-B” suffix at the end of the part no marked around the pedal boss.
