I have a quick question about Shimano disc brake levers. Are XT levers cross-compatable with XTR clipers? Not sure of the numbers because they're on my mates bike, but I can get them if needs be. I looked on the www but my Google-fu is weak today.

Yes they are, I know folk who say this is actually the best combination you can get.
