[#5145739]

I bought a new Deore Bottom bracket on 16/03/13 to fit to my 5 spot.

Had to take the chainset off last night to grease up the suspension and noticed the drive side cup is as rough as a badgers a*&e already and the other side isnt much better?

Is this normal for deore stuff?

bike has been ridden less than 50 miles since fitting and hasnt been jetwashed etc?

I fitted it to the frame using the correct tool and to the correct torque setting. framne has been chased and faced already.

The cranks also set at the right torque?

Deore isn't very well sealed IMO, and the bearings aren't that durable- I killed one in 7 hours of riding, felt like the balls went square. But still that's less than I've had out of them in normal use.

Any water in the frame etc?

Not surprised at all. My experience if the Deore ones is bad but my Saint one keeps on going.

The XT ones that I had before lasted really well too.
