Just bought 5m of SP41 outer cable from Chainreaaction.
Any time I've bought this cable previouly the casing has been branded with Shimano and I think SP41 in silver writing on the outer.
What I've received is plain black cable. Any time I've bought cable previously it's been bought in a pack rather than off the reel.
Is it normal for the reeled cable to be unbranded, seems odd to me?
I got some Sp41 outer from crc this week that was plain black too, I did wonder if it was the real stuff as all the previous Sp41 I've ever bought has had "SP41" marked on it,

Not in a pack - OK
Not branded - Not OK
Does it have grease in it?
I take it back. looking at the cable again it is actually impression stamped "shimano" every 15cm foot or so in in 2mm tall font.
It does seem to be greased too. Guess it is genuine but different to the retail packaged cable.
