2007 [older model] Yeti 575 - currently has an XT FD-M771
can I use a SLX M667 or 661?

Yes, I know - I'm asking if a 667 is a suitable replacement for a 771

Is it the direct mount version?

I'm putting on a new SLX double & moving the XT cranks etc. onto another bike
