Have they changed, throw wise, over the years? Got a turn of the century or bit later one and it isn't cooperating with my 10 speed shifter. Could be me being a dimwit of course.

Very likely the shifter is 2x not 3x...

Some may need a double throw to step up on 2x set up if they're meant for 3x..

As far as I know 3 x shifters on a 3 x chainset. Mech? That's why I asked. Did they change?

Some have a stop/limit I think. Got the part number?
