I know that Trp brakes are popular on here and lots of people are looking forward to hydro road brakes in the near future, but I've always been happy enough with mechanicals.

I have had bb7s for the last few years, but need some new ones and the cx77s seem to look pretty good for the money.

There don't seem to be many reviews or opinions around. The previous model were recalled, but as far as I can tell there are no problems with these ones.

Does anyone have any experience?

We've got them on both our cyclocross bikes. They've been fine. Plenty of power and easy enough to adjust. It's my first experience of cable discs

Got one for sale if you are interested, used for a couple of rides and then removed. £23 posted?

Had them fitted to my new bike when I got it to replace the BB5s it came with.

I really like them, vey impressed, still lust after hydros, but for the price I can't argue

Interested to hear this also, when it comes to replacing my BB7s (or just when I'm bored and want to try something new) I'd like to fit a set. Biggest advantage I can see is using Shimano metal pads, best disc brake pads I ever used in terms of power, wear and quietness!
