UPDATE: Reviews section refreshed, redesigned, searchable: Go take a look
I have a Shimano xt triple chainset on my tourer/winter bike. Is a couple of yrs old and i cant remember the model number.
In a wave of consumerism i have ordered a Stages powermeter LH crank arm. However due to financial constraints i saw Shimano xtr 985 Stages crank arm in the correct length in the sale. I assumed that all shimano mtb would be the same.
A little reading after pressing Buy it Now reveals that there is a difference in Q....will it fit?
Argh!!
It'll fit, the axle length/spline is common.
The Q-Factor (if anything) will be narrower on XTR, probably only by 1-2mm.
If it becomes an issue, use a pedal washer. You can get away with 2-3mm on any aluminium crank. A carbon crank with insert, i'd be more wary of.
Fab! Thank you!!
