Bit of a notchy clutch mech so just wondering what the best lube to use might be. I have some lithium grease which i think is best for bearings and some Finish line high performance grease which is pretty thick and i think is an all purpose grease. Is it ok to use either of these or will they gum up the clutch? Any links to clear instructions for lubing the clutch anywhere (video links pref)?

My M8000 clutch squeaked when in the on position after 200 miles as my oval chainring slightly moved it each revolution. In the off position it didn't squeak. I took the cover off and spread the grease that was already in there around a bit with my finger and that solved the problem. There was plenty of excess inside the mech.

In a previous Zee clutch mech I put in some general purpose grease I had available and that also silenced that one but I did worry I'd used the wrong stuff and never found out what I should use so hopefully we'll get a good answer here.

Gelert - i will open it up and see if there is any excess i can use, that would be ideal.
