[#3090497]

Hi, I am attempting to run some Shimano deore brakes on a Specialized FSR frame.
Problem is the brain fade for the shock gets in the way of the hose as it is on the interior side of the caliper.
Does anyone know of a way that the caliper could either be adjusted to run from the outside or if the there is a compatible caliper available.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated as its sending me a bit bonkers.
Thanks,
Sam.

Could try swapping the hose and bleed screw over.

I must say - those tags mean that there are now total assholes on here who think they know it all. That is genuinely off putting to all and sundry.

Sorry - to the op - I have no experience of your frame etc, but that tag / "response" (anonymous) is out of order imo.

And I dont blame you for the cheap dig in return!

When I posted the only tags were "help...problem" which made me giggle.

Tag-slagging is the lowest form of bullying.

Sorry no idea about your problem OP if the above doesn't work you prob need another calipers.

I have some new lxs I would swap

if i understand the issue, and without having seen the problem, i am guessing there are a couple of solutions. Some shimano callipers use an inline hose routing and some use a banjo type bolt. The former i think are usually designed with the cable running inside the mount, i.e. as you have now.

The later design with the banjo doesn't seem as common now but does appear on new XT and XTR. and you would need to change hoses to get the right fitting on the end.

would work.

The alternative i can think of is up your rotor size, an adapter and a larger rotor should give a little clearance.

I was going to suggest banjos too.
