can you use this type of hose connector with SLX brakes?

Mine had the straight fitting originally, but the 90 degree jobby would making routing the cable a lot easier.

Nope, the banjo fitting won't work with an SLX caliper.

Aw that's a pain in the sac.
Is there an aftermarket hose which can do a 90 degree mounting like that on SLX brakes ??

You could try emailing Jagwire Europe jageurope@nowcompany.com
to see if they have a LBS stockist - they have reasonable priced mix and match sets of banjos.
