Looking to get new pads for the cx bike; current ones squeal terribly - I think I have contaminated them with Fenwicks bike cleaner ... only started to squeal after using it.

Superstar dont make the pads anymore; Disco brakes dont appear to make them either ... stock shimano ones are 4x the price.

Can anybody recommend a good alternative other than stock shimano?

thanks.

Just to ask how did brake cleaner contaminate them?

I use uber pads

Tried most the compounds... Didn't like the race matrix. The sintered are as good as disco / superstar. Fit, bite and last a good while.

Brake cleaner didn`t contaminate the pads ... although I think that bike cleaner may have. Based solely on the fact that they have squealed terribly since using Fenwicks.

Thanks doncorleoni - take a look now
