Always been a big fan of the Shimano AM9 clipless shoes ....had the grey ones (now discontinued) and the navy ones (appear to be discontinued, although there is a GV9) now. I see there is an AM903 (black one) but not sure I like the look of that...
Tonnes of options out there now...any recommendations?

There's the "GR9" which I believe is the "Gravity" flavoured one from the images that looks to be a sort of Bluey Grey colour a bit like the old DX - MP66 (which also came in Black or white options IIRC)...
Edit, what am I saying the GR9 is for flat pedals...
I ran the Navy AM9's for years untill they got a bit flexy in the sole, I ended up picking up some Shimano ME7's, they have the lace flap which I loved on the AM9's, theyve even got an ankle cuff thing to keep trail debris out of the shoe which I now love. Sole is meant to be stiffer but cant really tell. I would recommened them.
Currently using AM9’s at the moment. I will be looking at ether ME7’s next for a bit more pedal stiffness given I use XT trail pedals or I like the look of the new 5 tens with the boa. Friends with the flats version rave about them. Hopefully I will get another summer out of the AM9s first
