Thinking about ordering a pair of shimano am45 spd shoes, just wondering what other shoes of this kind are about? Thanks for any info...

Mavic Alpine XL are good but more expensive. Or Five Ten Minnaar.

Go for the Shimano, you wont regret it. Great shoe at a good price.

The cleats don't move that far towards the rear, if that's a problem for you? I'm going to have to do a bit of bodging and drill some new holes in mine.

Ruggerbugger, be careful as Shimano's sizing is a little on the small size. I've currently got my new size 12 AM45's in a shoe stretcher 😉

Teva Pivots though they are not making them anymore, much narrower than the 5-10's

Chris, I can't find the cleat plates for the shoes. They are £5 at wiggle, do you want the £5 back for the cleat plates or a full refund. Sorry about this. I can still get them in the post to you today if you want.
