Who uses them? any good? how "weather resistant" are they? does the lace flap make any difference?

I use them for xc and trail centres. A real step up from skate shoes or old Merrells as they replaced in regard to grip and stiffness. My feet do not slide off my V12 pedals at all and I can easily pedal a fair way past the 6 o'clock position in a pedal stroke, if you know what I mean.

Not very weather resistant especially when compared to some Goretex shoes although with a pair of Woolie Boolies my feet are wet but warm. I'll probably get some extra liner socks for when it's really cold though. The lace flap does hide the shocking green laces and probably keeps out light-ish rain but I don't know if I'd miss it.

I've had a pair for 10 months or so. They are really comfy and stiff - they come with inserts to make them even stiffer. They stick to DMR flatties like glue! They are also pretty weatherproof and warm. However, they've got breathing holes in the toecaps, which does let water in if there's lots of spray about.
My only gripe is that the velcro on the laces protector flap scratches the back of your hand when you're doing up the laces. Also, they're not that grippy for walking in when it's really muddy.
All in, a good purchase. ๐Ÿ™‚

I wouldn't call them weather resistant but they are pretty splash-proof but if you step in a puddle or get caught in a torrential downpour (Like I did) then they get wet and take ages to dry...

Apart from that and looking a little 'different' I love them, nice and grippy on my DX's with short pins, very comfortable and the flap does keep the cooler air out when I'm riding home from work... Dont bother with the stiffer insoles tho, makes me feel like I'm wearing a pair of clogs!
