Will my xt mech work with 9 speed road shifters,eg sora? Any advice very welcome.I cant find a model number on the mech,but it is the version where the cage forms an x. Thanks,Stuart.

If the XT is 9 speed then yes it will work with 9sp road stuff.

9 spd one will, 10 or 11spd one won't.

Thanks for the replies folks, I had thought that I had heard it would work but only with 9 speed. Thanks for confirming it.
