I have 105 (5600) on my road bike.
According to Shimano's charts my STI's will not work with an Ultegra 6700 FD, not even B compatibility.
Any particular reason why this wouldn't work, are the pull ratios really all that different?
I've always considered front derailleurs to be pretty basic, just shove the chain across and let the pins do the rest...
Aye, they changed the pull ratios on the newer groupsets (the ones with hidden cables), it's not a 105/Ultegra thing, if you had 5700 shifters you'd be fine, or you can use a 6600 (or 7800) front mech.
Ah well, trying to get my shopping cart up and spotted a nice grey FD that would match my 6700 RD.
I assume the different pull ratio is not just because of the updated brake cable routing, that alone wouldn't affect the shifting (answering my own questions).
